  The story of the Chicago Ripper crew is one of sadness and a failed justice system. Although all caught, the Chicago Ripper Crew's ringleader was never convicted of murder, and one of them is even out on parole today. In total, these men killed six women, and we were known to abduct more than eighteen. Though the evidence is insufficient, the modus operandi of their crimes could place them at as many as 17 other murders, and the unrelated shooting of another man in the early 1980s. The sadistic nature of these crimes that make the freedom of these men all the more disheartening.               For two years, women were found missing and murdered across the Chicago area. Angela Abbrederis Abbrederis was last seen in Dallas, Texas on April 2, 1996. She left behind her vehicle, clothes, luggage, car keys and other personal belongings, and left her dog unattended inside her apartment. There was laundry left in the washing machine and piled on Abbrederis's bed, which is uncharacteristic of her. Red fingerprints near the front door turned out to be paint rather than blood. Abbrederis has never been heard from again. Abbrederis's boyfriend withdrew money from her savings account, signed over one of her cars to himself, and emptied their joint checking account after her disappearance. He told police he jointly owned all he took. Investigators do not believe his actions necessarily make him a suspect in her case. The couple had two children together and resided on Vine Street in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Audrey was employed at the nearby woolen mill in the early 1960s. A photo of Ronald is posted with this case summary. Authorities said that Audrey and Ronald's marriage was troubled and there were allegations of abuse.
